The year we are saying good-bye to was rich in many challenging projects, good relationships, new travel routes and ideas; it also brought us the abnormally hot summer and mild autumn.
We are happy to inform you that the Travel Center, a group of companies joined to create the unified office Travel Center of Dolores Travel Company and Radius Company.
The year of 2011 was really challenging in regards to tour events, including many international fairs with remarkable initiative from Uzbekistan tour operators.
Uzbekistan has become a member-country of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
Among the other significant events, the 17thTourism Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road” was held in Tashkent. This Central Asian mega-event was included in the list of the most significant international events in the tourism industry under the UNWTO. The fair involved over five hundred companies and agencies throughout the world.
In 2011, the Mega-Info Tour Program was initiated by the Uzbektourism National Company addressing key issues towards the tourism tendencies which succeeded in goals it set.For the purposes of the event, our company hosted the representatives of tour companies and mass media from Spain, Russia, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Great Britain and Italy.
In 2011, the Program for sustainable tourism development and increase of export capacity of tourism services was adopted as intended to take measures on improvement of tourism infrastructure of the country, on discovery of new routes and restoration of monuments of architecture in Tashkent city, as well as arrangement of illumination for the Tashkent TV Tower and reconstruction of the city gates of historical importance.
This year the handicraftsmen and artists of Uzbekistan were encouraged to develop their skills being supported on local, municipal and national levels.
The year of 2011 appeared to be advantageous and rich in top events. We put high hopes for the coming 2012, the Black Water Dragon year by the Chinese calendar, and we anticipate beneficial ending of 2011 and prosperity in 2012.
